http://www.twitch.tv/buzzcutpsycho/b/333826479
but im sure if you watch it everyone can learn one thing about how outfits run...
not trying to say anything were doing is bad... just watched it and wanna have some discussion about it, because even if the video can make us better in anyway then it was worth it :)

That was well worth listening to. I might not agree with all of what he is saying, but it might be because me being a more casual player than he is.

A zerg commander teaching another zerg commander how to organise a zerg.

on that front he has some really good points, none of which really apply here.

If anyone thinks he's a genius then:
step 1 - scrap the alliance
step 2 - Everyone joins one outfit (personally I always wondered if this would be easier but I understand that people like their own identities)
step 3 - everyone ditches their individual specialisation and plays what they are told to play
step 4 - almightly recruiting drive!

Truth is, the alliance would work better as a single outfit but it was always our principle that small outfits should feel safe joining without the threat of being swallowed up.

We already have a TS server that could host every member if they wanted to forgoe their own.

and specialisation is what makes us flexible enough to be something other than part of the zerg

If we take any of his advice we lose this.

Very good and concise summary Max.

He made some good points on the channel command (used to do it ourselves in PS1) and hitting of multiple targets. But I would say that this was more common sense than technical savvie

there is also the fact that we dont have everyone in yet, not even close... i think the TRAF went backwards when the caracters got wiped and more keys were given out ( i think to the people who signed up on the website )

so although it would be easier if we were in out big outfit, if we add eachother as friends us the TS server and other things... we should be able to manage :)

and to the TRAF guys, myself included should we just go to the TS3 server? because mumble is usually empty, so bad that i dont really check anymore ( so i might be wrong )
and that way we can play with our new friends :D

If you want to I can give you a seperate channel like I did for Mordor so you still have a space for yourselves (when you do not want to connect with the rest)

there is also the fact that we dont have everyone in yet, not even close

Same for LLOD. Beside that, we (LLOD) have not created the habit (again / yet) to connect to PS(2) again, so this creates the problem that one day we have 3 LLOD's online and next day we have another 4 (different) LLOD's.

But I have the hope that this will (eventually) level out

as do i with the server population

Last night the NC had 51% server pops, TR 20%

A target rich environment ....

Shuuda and myself took some bases unopposed, then they (NC) started pushing back (which we stopped). Finally we left since we were being cut off for one of the major bases (Moa ?) and held our ground there.

I had to leave for a while, but when I came back I ubfortunatly found none of our peops online :?

due to the design of the game I think you'll find that it won't level out, it will just get worse. NC are farming more and more resources and upgrading more & more weapons so the longer it goes on the stronger they get and the harder it gets for us.

I'm seriously considering a move to a more even server. :|

more & more homeless NC will jump to our server in search of an easy life & more & more non-NC will leave in frustration.

It would take the Devs implementing population control to even it out.

Not sure about that. Following that train fo thought we will end up with 3 server each having 100% of one faction (silly example off course, but you get the idea)

I like an uneven fight (why else would I have chosen TR else ...  ). Having said that I know a multitude of enemies can be overwhelming, but since I rarely tend to be in the middle of a mass fight (according to the enclave I am completely wrong) I mostly enjoy myself. Of course I know I cannot speak for everybody....

I rather like the situation as it is, (although frustrating it might be sometimes) but at least you get a sense of accomplishement at the end of the evening when you took a number of bases from under their noses.
